About Me: Where It All Began
In 2018, I suffered a serious knee injury while playing sport, which meant I couldn’t return to my previous job. During six months of rehabilitation, I found myself asking the big question: what comes next?
I’ve always loved dogs and have always had them in my life. But like many owners, I struggled to find somewhere I truly trusted to look after my dog while I was at work. That experience made me realise something was missing — a reliable, caring service where dogs are treated as if they were your own.
That realisation inspired me to build exactly that.
While recovering, I completed canine first aid training and undertook dog handling and training education so I could create a service built on safety, structure, and trust. Top Dog Canvey officially launched in September 2019.
Top Dog Canvey grew from a simple idea: to create the kind of service I wished I’d had.
Every dog that joins becomes part of the family. I’ve had many puppies start with me who are now lovely, well-socialised, balanced adult dogs. The compliments I receive while out on walks speak volumes about the care, structure, and training they receive.
This is more than just a daycare centre where dogs are dropped off and collected at the end of the day. I aim to provide a complete, stress-free service for owners — including pick-up, walks, enrichment, care, and drop-off. Everything is catered for, eliminating inconvenience and giving you complete peace of mind.
The strong relationships we build with each dog mean we go somewhere different every day, exploring the many walking locations Canvey has to offer.
